Moritex Corporation has grown steadily since 1973 by developing its applied photonics, functional, based on original “photonic technologies.” In the field of machine vision, a main pillar of Moritex’s mainstay applied photonic business, Moritex provides high value added and leading edge technologies, products and services that combine lens, illumination and optical fiber light guide for semiconductor production equipment, electronic components mounting equipment and FPD production equipment, and has made great strides as the leading manufacturer boasting the world’s top share.
In October 2008, which marked the 35th year since its founding, Moritex made a new start as the member of the SCHOTT Group, following the friendly TOB by international technology group SCHOTT Group, aiming for further progress and development.
After coming under SCHOTT’s wing, Moritex quickly started the “Nozomi Project,” which aims to strengthen its competitive advantage through research, development and sales with SCHOTT AG, which is the world’s largest non-communications industrial-use fiber optics manufacturer and global special glass manufacturer, and synergy in every field, and has begun to make steady progress.
Moritex will build on “selection and concentration” of business fields toward the new era and the “synergy effects” as part of the SCHOTT Group.
Moritex will proactively create unique technologies and products that are useful to people worldwide by further focusing on machine vision system, in which it is especially successful, image processing system and inspection and measurement systems, while placing at its core the original and advanced “photonic technologies” it has cultivated for years, and through global strategies based on alliances within the SCHOTT Group.
